For doughnuts and baked sweets, SoHo has Full Circle Doughnuts and Herradura y Donas, downtown has Savage’s Bakery on 18th Street South, and West Homewood has the Heavenly Donut Co. at The Edge and Neighbors Ice Cream on Oak Grove Road.

How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Homewood’s city limits, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 17, 2026. We added Full Circle Doughnuts and the Heavenly Donut Co., whose own sites give Homewood addresses. Edgewood Creamery’s website did not load and Neighbors Ice Cream has no website we could find; we kept both because each had a 2026 Jefferson County Department of Health inspection. We left out Steel City Pops, whose web address is now for sale, and the chain dessert shops in the map data that are in Homewood, Illinois. The list is alphabetical. Big Spoon Creamery in Edgewood is the Homewood shop of an ice cream maker with other scoop shops in Avondale and Huntsville. All three keep the same hours.

Edgewood Creamery on Oxmoor Road is an ice cream shop. Its website did not load for us; the county health department inspected it on June 2, 2026.

Full Circle Doughnuts in SoHo is a doughnut shop that opened at 1726 28th Ave. S. Its site takes online orders and catering inquiries.

Heavenly Donut Co. has a shop at The Edge on Green Springs Highway and another on Cahaba River Road. Its site says its doughnuts are handmade each day and known for their shape, and that it now serves kolaches. The Homewood shop sells pastries only on Monday.

Herradura y Donas in SoHo sells doughnuts alongside tacos and boba tea. It is closed Sunday.

Neighbors Ice Cream is at 715 Oak Grove Road. It has no website we could find; the county inspected it on July 17, 2026.

Savage’s Bakery on 18th Street South has been in business since 1939, according to its site. Its case holds bear claws, cheese pockets, petit fours, cinnamon rolls, coffeecakes, pies, tortes and cookies, and it bakes cakes to order and caters.
