13 breakfast spots and coffee shops in Homewood, with hours from their own sites: downtown on 18th Street, SoHo, Edgewood, Brookwood Village and Wildwood.
Last checked 2026-10-17. Refreshed every three months.
Breakfast and coffee in Homewood cluster in three places: downtown on 18th Street South, with Salem’s Diner, O’Henry’s Coffees and Santos Coffee within a block of each other; SoHo, with Big Bad Breakfast, Herradura y Donas and Dawn Patrol; and Edgewood on Oxmoor Road, with Ruby Sunshine and Frothy Monkey. The rest are at Brookwood Village, near Wildwood and elsewhere on Oxmoor Road.
How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Homewood’s city limits, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 17, 2026. We added the O’Henry’s Coffees shop at Brookwood Village and Salem’s Diner, whose own sites give Homewood addresses. Homewood Bagel Company and Santos Coffee have no working website of their own; we kept them because each had a Jefferson County Department of Health inspection in 2026. We left out the Dunkin’ on Commons Drive, which is in Birmingham’s city limits, and the Einstein Bros. Bagels at Samford University, whose location page no longer loads. Doughnut shops are on our bakeries list. The list is alphabetical. It is not a ranking or a recommendation, and nobody paid to be on it. Run one of these places? Write to us to correct your entry.
